11. The Church of Rome, faithful to the teaching of the Second Vatican Council, will continue to promote and foster friendship and dialogue with the Roman Jewish community, one of the oldest in the world.

12. The presence of so many individuals, families and communities belonging to different religious traditions also requires the Church of Rome to pay particular attention to interreligious dialogue, avoiding proselytism without renouncing a joyful witness to the faith handed down by the Apostles and to Christian charity.
