Once again, as the first candle of Hanukkah was about to be lit in a few hours in the cities and neighborhoods of France, it was in Sydney, Australia, at the beginning of Hanukkah, that Islamist terrorists struck men, women, children, and families who were joyfully gathering in Sydney. They killed and wounded them because they were Jewish. On behalf of the Steering Committee, I express to our Jewish friends our unwavering solidarity in these painful times. The French Jewish-Christian Friendship Association (AJCF) offers its friendship and support to the Jews who are living in anguish and fear.
