![]() The Lux Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies at Sacred Heart School of Theology has been established as a tribute to Professor Richard Lux, Ph.D., on the occasion of his retirement in 2010 after 37 years on the Sacred Heart Faculty. Its purpose is to continue Dr. Lux's work in strengthening Catholic-Jewish relations by establishing an endowment that will provide for a variety of activities. We aspire to instill in newly ordained Catholic priests the knowledge, understanding and skills to contribute to positive Catholic-Jewish relations in the communities they serve across North America. In order to provide our graduates with an excellent understanding of Judaism and its commonalities with Catholicism we will train them to engage in interreligious activities in their parishes after ordination; and |
