Structure
-
The CSG membership elects a Chair by majority vote to a three-year term. The Chair appoints a Membership Committee chair and a Program Committee chair, together the three chairs comprise the Executive Committee.
-
The Membership Committee is composed of three members appointed by the CSG Chair. They serve terms of three years, and work collaboratively with the CSG Chair. Any CSG member may submit nominations for membership to this committee, which works by consensus and recommends the election of new members to the full body of the CSG. The Committee also reviews and recommends to the full membership decisions about renewals of memberships.
-
The Program Committee is composed of three members appointed by the CSG Chair. They serve terms of three years and work collaboratively with the CSG Chair and in consultation with the director of the host institution in setting the agenda for meetings.
-
Meetings are held semi-annually. Boston College graduate students who are researching topics under discussion may, at the discretion of the CSG Chair, be observers at the pertinent conversations.
